Turkey Day!

Hola! So Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I must admit I'm getting pretty excited. I usually don't get to excited about this holiday because if you think about it..all you do is eat. But we are having dinner at our house this year and a lot of my family on my dad's side that I haven't seen in a while are coming over and I'm really happy. I get really excited when we have family gatherings because it doesn't happen very often. And on another happy note..I don't have to work on Thanksgiving! I did last year and it wasn't very fun, but this year I'm off the whole day. And wait..there's still more...me and Lex are going to go see New Moon on Thanksgiving night and I'm very excited about that. I've been wanting to see that movie for I don't know how long. But I hope that everybody else has a good Thanksgiving as well cuz I know I will. :)

This ad represents transfer because It uses Drew Barrymore's name and picture in the ad but not a direct quote from her. It gets women to want to buy the mascara because Drew is in the picture so they think maybe she uses it too. Plus she looks very beautiful in the picture so that will make women want to buy it even more.

This ad represents repetition propaganda because they have the $39 special in the add 6 times! They really emphasize that every category of their workout is included in the special. You can do yoga, martial arts, dance, MMA, or cardio workouts for $39 for two weeks. And it really gets the point across.

Emotional

This picture represents emotional propaganda because it makes you feel really sad about animals that are abused. The words in the ad are powerful as well because it gets you thinking about people that don't report animal cruelty. And makes you realize how cute and precious animals are. The dog in the picture also wrenches at your heart too.

Ok so I found these shoes on the Coach website and I absolutely adore them!! They are soooo cute! And the best part is that they are only $88. So I hinted to Lex that I wanted them for Christmas....and he told me he'd totally get them for me :) He's the best boyfriend ever! :)

I wanna go!

Ok so today my mom and dad are leaving to go to Jamaica, and I must say I'm extremely jealous! I really really really want to go with them but I've already missed two days of school and I don't want to miss anymore. Plus I can't miss basketball. The trip isn't going to be that long, they're getting back Monday. But still it would be tons of fun. Mom told me she's going to make it up to me though, so during Spring break she said we'll go somewhere so I can come along. Hopefully it'll be somewhere really nice like Hawaii or the Bahamas. :) She said we'll probably go out of the country so I'm excited. We go on a lot more vacations now because my brother works at the airport in Evansville so we get awesome discounts on airplane tickets. I'm really glad that my brother works there. :)

Fall Break :(

My fall break wasn't very fun. Tuesday I got home from school and did not feel good at all. That evening and night I had a fever and didn't go to school the next day. I ended up going to the doctor and found out that I had the flu. And from the tests the doctor said it was most likely H1N1 :(. I wasn't happy at all because they said I would be sick for 5 days. So Tuesday through Saturday all I did was sleep and watch T.V. It was the most boring 5 days of my life. But, I am a lot more cautious now about germs and I'm starting to wash my hands a lot and I always cough in my sleeve. :) Sunday I did finally get to go to the movies and I saw paranormal activity which was VERY scary! I ended up not being able to sleep that night.

Halloween

So Halloween is getting closer and closer and I'm getting more and more excited. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I like watching the scary movies that are on t.v. and eating caramel apples and candy corn. :) This Saturday I'm going to go start off the Halloween festivities and go to haunted houses in Evansville with my friends, Kendall and Ali. This will be my third year of going and I love it. I get so scared and usually I end up making a fool of myself and I might accidentally grab onto a complete stranger for dear life but it's always a blast. I also can't wait to go trick or treating. I'm ordering my costume off the internet this year so it's going to look really good. I'm either going to be a sailor or a referee but I can't decide which one! They both are really cute though. I'm going to go trick or treating with Ali, Kendall, and Serena and it's gonna be tons of fun. I can't wait!

Camp Carson!

On Monday the peer facilitators went on a field trip to Camp Carson. It was awesome! It was one of the most fun field trips I've been on. We did leadership building and teamwork activities. We got to go on this huge swing that lifted you about 40 feet in the air, then you pull the string and you go flying. We also climbed the alpine tower which is a 55 foot high tower. You get a harness on and you have a balair that does your ropes for you. I was Ali's balair and Brooke was mine. When I first started climbing I got really scared and thought I wouldn't be able to finish it. But I just took a deep breath and kept on going. When I got to the top I was so proud of myself. It was the most exhilerating/scary thing I've ever done! But it was really fun.

golf is over :(

So yesterday was our last golf match besides sectional. I did good and I'm glad that I ended on a good note. I'm sad though because it was a lot of fun. I'm going to miss the girls and joking around with them on the bus and at practice. And I'm definitely going to play again next year. But now basketball is getting ready to start so I can get excited about that! :)

I want a puppy!

Ok so I am really trying to talk my mom into getting a new puppy, but she won't listen to me! We already have a yellow lab named Ellie and I love her to death but I think that it's time she should have a friend. Mom says that we only need one dog in the house and two dogs would be to much. I think she doesn't know what she's talking about! We also have a cat named sonic and she is really old and I know this is mean to say but she will probably die soon. So I told mom that when she dies we should get a puppy! I don't know if I can talk her into it, but hopefully in time she'll listen to me and understand that I'm right. :)

PF dance!

Hola! So today after school the peer facilitators are having the 6th grade dance and I'm super excited! I can't wait to meet some of the kids and hopefully some of them will actually dance a little bit. Then afterwards Ali and Taylor and me are going to go to the golf course at Oakland and play some golf. It should be lots of fun!

Puppies!

I picked this picture because I love puppies! It doesn't matter what kind of puppy, I think they are all adorable. But I like them when they get big too. :) I just love dogs in general. They are precious and very very cute!

The beginning of blogging

Hi there! My name is Kelsey and I'm pretty excited about this blog. We had blogs last year in Mr. Stuckey's class, but we didn't use them very much. I have a feeling that I'll be getting on this one alot more and publish many things on it. Now I'm supposed to tell you a little about myself so here it goes. I'm 17 years old, going to turn 18 in May. I like to play sports and I'm in golf, basketball, and track. This is my first year of playing golf and I think its alot of fun. My best friend Ali is on the team too, and she helps me out alot. I also like to hang out with my family and friends. I love going to the movies! I go see a movie about every other weekend. I like going out to eat and I'm kind of a shopaholic. :) I'm a cashier at Buylow but during school I usually only work about 2 days a week. I love going on vacations, especially to places that are far away or tropical places. I hate broccoli and rainy days. Umm..I don't really know what else to tell you so I think I'm gonna call it quits. Bye Bye!
